Professionalism, Collegiality and Civility Through Communication

The Program Committee has assembled a series of panels with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals in the various fields that serve the workers' compensation arena. The speakers have coordinated their presentations over the two and a half days in such a way as to explore and apply the workers' compensation process from various perspectives. The conference theme: Professionalism, Collegiality and Civility Through Communication, will highlight important, emerging issues and emphasize compliance, analysis, case management and alternative solutions.

In addition, the conference will examine the significance of recently enacted legislation and new case law. Those professionals who require them will be able to acquire continuing education credits to maintain accredidation as well as the vocational rehabilitation updates required by the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission.

As with every program since its creation in 1984, MWCEA brings the Maryland Workers' Compensation Community together to maximize workplace safety and health as well as optimizing the protection afforded to injured workers. The result has been a continuous improvement in communication and cooperation between the many individuals and organizations that provide those services which combine to make the workers' compensation program successful.
