Maryland Medical Fee Guide Revision

The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission amended its "Guide of Medical and Surgical Fees" on February 12, 2004, which will take effect on or after September 1, 2004. The decision of the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission replaces the existing Medical Fee Guide by incorporating the Resource Based Relative Value System or RBRVS. Presenting for the Commission are the Co-Chairs of the Fee Guide Revision Committee.

A "Post-Harris" Statistical Review of Workers' Compensation Costs in Maryland
This session will review statistical data regarding current trends in Maryland's workers' compensation system. Added emphasis will be directed to the search for information that may assist the Maryland General Assembly's efforts to document any changes in the cost of workers' compensation attributed to the re-interpretation of "Accidental Injury" by the Maryland Court of Appeals (Harris vs. Howard County Board of Education).
